How to Prepare for a Free Bottle Pickup in Edmonton

You've booked a free bottle pickup with Triple H Southside Bottle Depot. Now what? A little bit of prep makes the whole process faster for you and for our pickup team. Here's what to do before we arrive.

Bag everything — no sorting needed

Grab regular garbage bags or any large bags you have. Toss in all your refundable containers: pop cans, water bottles, juice boxes, beer bottles, milk jugs, wine bottles, energy drink cans — everything. You don't need to sort by material or size. We handle all the sorting and counting at the depot.

Give containers a quick empty

Pour out any leftover liquid before bagging. Containers don't need to be washed or spotless, but emptying them keeps your bags lighter, prevents spills, and avoids attracting bugs while they sit out.

Leave bags somewhere accessible

Set your bags by the front door, garage, or driveway where our team can easily spot and reach them. If you live in an apartment or condo, leave them near your building entrance or in the area you specified when booking. The easier they are to find, the faster the pickup goes.

How many bags can you put out?

As many as you have. There's no limit on the number of bags per pickup. Whether it's two bags from the last couple of weeks or twenty bags from a year of stockpiling, we'll take them all.

What about large or awkward items?

Cases of bottles still in the box? Leave them as-is. Bags of wine bottles? Set them out with the rest. If you have anything that doesn't fit in a bag — like a box full of large jugs — just leave it beside the bags. Our team is used to handling all types of containers.

Check the forgotten spots

Before your pickup, do a quick sweep of the places containers hide:

• The garage or storage room
• Under the kitchen sink or beside the recycling bin
• The car trunk and back seat
• The basement or utility room
• Kids' bedrooms and playrooms
